A broad but mostly modest dip
Every UltraBall index finished the week of 19 to 25 October lower. The sharpest fall came in Modern, down 1.8% to 85.8, while Vintage gave up 1.4% to close at 105.9. The gap between the two moves was 0.4 percentage points, so neither era clearly outperformed.
The headline UltraBall 100 eased 0.4% to 97.4. That is a small move and should be read as one. The PSA 10 index matched it, also down 0.4% to 100.1, while the Raw index fell 1.0% to 91.7.
The data shows the declines happening alongside a rise in live listings, but it cannot say why prices softened. More supply on the shelf is one context worth noting, not a proven cause.
Sales activity and supply
UltraBall verified 82,584 eBay US sales this week across 6,949 different cards, with $10.5 million in value where the price paid was known. Graded cards accounted for 18,424 of those sales, a 22.3% share, and auctions made up 21.2% of sales.
The ledger collected on 6 days of the week rather than the full seven, so these counts cover only those days and are not compared with last week.
Supply is a separate measure. Live eBay listings matched to a card stood at 251,717 at the week's close, up 10.7% over the week. For collectors, a deeper pool of listings generally means more choice and more sold comps to price against.

Top sales: WOTC-era promos and e-Card holos
The week's most expensive verified eBay sale was a PSA 10 Slowking (Southern Islands 14/18) at $70,080 on 20 October. Southern Islands is a small WOTC-era promo set, and Gem Mint copies of its cards are a long-standing chase for vintage collectors.
Call of Legends Rayquaza SL10, the Shiny Legend from the 2011 set, sold twice in PSA 9: $56,139.75 on 24 October and $55,500 on 19 October. A BGS 8 Rayquaza ☆ (Deoxys 107/107) made $55,555.55.
The e-Card era featured strongly. A PSA 9 Skyridge Charizard 146/144 sold for $55,000 and another for $41,900, and a PSA 10 Aquapolis Espeon H9 also made $55,000. Gold Star cards rounded out the list, with a PSA 9 Holon Phantoms Pikachu ☆ at $45,700 and a PSA 9 Team Rocket Returns Mudkip ☆ at $45,044. A PSA 10 Charizard (Dragon 100/97) sold for $40,100.
30th Celebration dominates volume
The most traded card was Maushold (30th Celebration 146/128) with 268 sales, only 4 of them graded, at a median raw price of $10.49. The whole top ten came from 30th Celebration and its Classic Collection subset.
Zapdos (133/128) and Sylveon ex (153/128) each logged 258 sales, at median raw prices of $5.99 and $40.12. Mewtwo ex (151/128) recorded 255 sales with 26 graded, at a $50 median raw. The Classic Collection Lugia 149/30 stood out for grading activity, with 42 of its 249 sales graded and a median raw price of $217.50.
Auctions, Buy It Now and the PSA 10 multiple
Format still matters. The median auction sale cleared at 84.5% of UltraBall's price for the copy, while the median Buy It Now sale landed at 100.0%. Auction buyers in UltraBall's tracked sales continue to pay less than fixed-price buyers for comparable copies.
The PSA 10 median multiple over ungraded closed at 17.5×, barely changed from 17.4× a week earlier. The gap between Gem Mint slabs and raw copies held steady even as both the PSA 10 and Raw indexes declined.
Outside eBay, record-book sales across all marketplaces were led by a PSA 10 Rayquaza (Dragons Exalted 128/124) and a PSA 10 1st Edition Misdreavus (Neo Revelation 11/64), each at $240,000 on Fanatics Collect. The top eBay record was a PSA 10 1st Edition Pichu (Neo Genesis 12/111) at $105,100.
What collectors should watch
- Whether live listings keep building after rising 10.7% this week, and how that supply sits against sold comps.
- Whether the Modern index's 1.8% decline extends or stabilises as 30th Celebration singles continue to dominate trading volume.
- The auction-versus-Buy It Now gap, with auctions clearing at 84.5% of UltraBall's price this week.
- A full seven-day collection week, which would allow sales counts to be compared again.
How this was worked out
Index levels, sales and supply are read from UltraBall's stored weekly record for the week (/research/weekly/2026-10-25), built on the Monday after the week from the sold ledger, the daily indexes and the live-listing store, and not changed afterwards.
Sales are completed eBay US listings matched to one exact card, printing and grade; sales far from UltraBall's price for the copy are held out as unusual. Value counts only sales where the price paid is known. A day the ledger recorded fewer than 2,000 verified sales counts as not collected.
The sold ledger collected on 6 of 7 days this week; sales counts cover only those days and are not compared with last week.
