Terms

These terms apply when you use UltraBall, on this website or through an app connected to it such as ChatGPT. By using UltraBall you agree to them. What we keep about you is covered separately on the privacy page.

What UltraBall is

UltraBall publishes prices, sales, price history and checklists for English Pokémon cards, worked out from recent sales and marketplace prices. It is an independent collector resource and is not affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by Nintendo, Creatures, GAME FREAK or The Pokémon Company, or by any grading company or marketplace.

Our prices are estimates

• A price on UltraBall is our estimate of what a card sells for, from the sales and listings we hold on the date shown. It is not an offer to buy or sell, and not a valuation for insurance, tax or lending.
• Prices can be wrong or out of date: a sale can be matched to the wrong card, a market can move faster than our data, and a card with few sales has a less certain price. We say so where we can.
• Nothing on UltraBall is financial or investment advice. Check the card and the listing yourself before you buy, sell or grade.
• The AI card grader, the centering tool and the grading and selling calculators give estimates. They are not an official grade or a promise of what a grading company or buyer will give.

Buying and selling

UltraBall does not sell cards, take payments, or buy, bid or sell on anyone’s behalf. When you follow a link to eBay or another marketplace, your purchase is with that marketplace and its seller, on their terms. Some links to eBay are affiliate links, marked #ad, and we may earn a commission if you buy; that never changes a price we show.

Your account

• You can look up prices without an account. An account lets you keep a collection, a watchlist, price alerts and grading reports.
• Keep your sign-in to yourself. You are responsible for what is done with your account.
• What you put in your account, including photos you upload, stays yours. You let us store and process it to run these features for you, as the privacy page describes.
• A grading report with its link switched on can be seen by anyone with the link. You can switch the link off or delete the report.
• Pictures you put on a binder cover must be yours to use and suitable for everyone. A shared binder’s cover can be seen by anyone with its link, and we may hide a picture or switch a link off after a report.
• You can delete your account at any time by contacting us from the email address on it.

Connected apps

You can connect an app such as ChatGPT to your account. It gets only the permissions you allowed on our consent screen, it is shown a preview before it changes anything, and you can disconnect it at any time under Connected apps on your account page. Your use of the app itself is covered by its maker’s terms: for ChatGPT, OpenAI’s.

Fair use

Please do not:

• copy UltraBall’s prices, sales or other data in bulk, by scraping or automated requests, or republish or resell them;
• try to get around rate limits, security checks or access controls, or interfere with the site or other people’s use of it;
• use UltraBall for anything unlawful, or to upload anything you do not have the right to share.

We may limit, suspend or close access, or an account, that breaks these terms.

Content and trademarks

UltraBall’s text, data, design and software belong to us or our licensors. Pokémon names and card images are trademarks and copyrights of their respective owners and are shown to identify the cards.

Changes and availability

We may change, add or remove features, and we cannot promise the site will always be available or free of errors. When these terms change, this page changes and the date at the top is updated; continuing to use UltraBall after that means you accept the new terms.

Our responsibility

UltraBall is provided as it is. As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for losses that come from relying on a price, estimate or listing shown here, or from a marketplace, grading company or connected app. Nothing in these terms limits any responsibility that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.
