The list below is every sale UltraBall recorded from Jan 1, 2026 to Oct 16, 2026, across Goldin, Fanatics Collect, Alt and eBay, and Heritage Auctions through PSA’s own auction records and its own announcements, with the same sale reported by more than one source counted once.

Each price is what the buyer paid, buyer’s premium included, so a Goldin hammer and an Alt sale are on the same footing. Where the venue still publishes the sale, its name links to it.

• The Pikachu Illustrator (Japanese) heads the list at $16,492,000, ahead of a Raincoat Pikachu (Japanese) PSA 10 at $8,400,000 (Fanatics Collect, Sep 28, 2026) and another Illustrator, a PSA 9, at $5,000,000 (Heritage Auctions, Sep 19, 2026).
• The Illustrator appears 9 times in the top 50. The highest-placed English card is the Torchic ☆ PSA 10 at No. 6.
• The 1st Edition Base Set Charizard appears 2 times in the top 25.
• The full top 50 is in the CSV.

Part of that is coverage: Alt’s sales are in UltraBall’s data only from Jul 19, 2026, and Alt alone accounts for 135 of the year’s six-figure sales. So the cleanest test is one venue across the whole year. Fanatics Collect is in the data at full depth from February.

Of the Fanatics sales since September 1, 183 were lots in its Sunday-night Weekly Auction and 9 were in its Premier auctions or other sales.

The 1st Edition Base Set Charizard sold 8 times in PSA 10 this year. The exception to the band was the copy Goldin sold as the “Logan Paul Break” for $954,800 on Feb 16, 2026, in the same auction as his Illustrator. The Oct 8, 2026 sale at Alt was 2.6 times the highest of the band.

One more record is left out. PSA’s auction-price records list an eBay sale of the card for $1,924,572 on Jul 13, 2026, but the same PSA cert (50120100) sold for $2,100 on Jun 9, so the record is not the card it names.

• The Pikachu Illustrator was a prize in CoroCoro Comic’s illustration contests in 1997 and 1998.
• The Art Academy cards of 2015 were printed from the winning entries of a Japanese drawing competition and given to the winners.
• The trophy Pikachus went to the top players at Japanese tournaments in the late 1990s.

Few copies of any of them exist. 23 of the top 50 sales were Japanese cards.

Among English cards, Wizards of the Coast cards (1999–2003) made up 169 of the six-figure sales, and 101 were from the EX era (2003–2007) and 54 from Diamond & Pearl and Platinum (2007–2010), more than the 12 printed since 2014.

Two groups stand out:

• The Gold Star cards, the single-star rares of the EX era, account for 4 of the top 50, including 4 of the 19 $1 million sales.
• The “fireworks” reverse holos from 2002’s Legendary Collection take 8 places in the top 50.

406 of the 525 sales were PSA 10s. The rest were mostly CGC Pristine and Gem Mint 10s, Beckett 10s including Black Labels, and 28 PSA 9s.

Goldin sold 75, worth $44,010,212, including the year’s top sale. Alt sold 135 in under three months of data. eBay had 45, and 14 of them sold without an auction, at a fixed price or on an accepted offer.

The clearest case is the Cresselia PSA 10 from Great Encounters (2008). On Sep 21, 2026 one sold at Fanatics Collect for $6,300. On Oct 5, 2026, at the same venue, another sold for $960,000, after 38 bids, for a card PSA has graded 10 46 times.

It is one result, but it is a real sale, published by the venue, and it belongs on the list.

The biggest jump among English cards is the Torchic ☆ PSA 10, No. 6 on the list. It has no other sale at an auction house in 2026 in the data. The last one before it sold at Fanatics Collect for $38,400 on Jun 17, 2024, and the $2,700,000 sale at Alt is the only record of the price.

For 20 of the top 50, an earlier 2026 sale of the same card, printing and grade at an auction house is in the data. It is in the CSV beside each sale.

This report is fixed as of Oct 16, 2026. The round-ups use the same rules, across Alt, Fanatics Collect, Goldin and eBay. The first covers the two weeks to Oct 26, 2026.

eBay comes from four feeds of sold listings, which are near complete from June and thinner before then. PSA’s auction-price records fill the gap for PSA-graded eBay sales from January to August, and they are the source for Heritage and Robert Edward Auctions.

Alt is in the data from Jul 19, 2026, so any Alt sale before that is missing. Fanatics Collect is thin in January. There are no Japanese marketplaces and no private sales.

The venues’ own results. The ledger holds only sales it can match to a card in UltraBall’s catalogue, so the year’s biggest sales, of cards the catalogue does not list (the Pikachu Illustrator, the Art Academy and trophy cards), were missing from it.

They come from the venues’ own published results, read on Oct 18, 2026: Goldin’s results for every Elite, special and TCG weekly auction of 2026 (140 Pokémon lots of $80,000 or more), Fanatics Collect’s public search of sold lots (388) and Alt’s sales (200).

Heritage’s results pages cannot be read automatically, so its Illustrator sales come from Heritage’s announcement of the $5,000,000 sale, Heritage’s announcement of the $1,406,250 sale and Heritage’s announcement of the $843,750 sale. Any other Heritage sale of a card outside the catalogue is not in the list.

Awaiting payment. 37 of the sales, worth $11,723,460, were auctions at Alt that had closed but not yet been paid for when the data was read, among them the Typhlosion (1st Edition) PSA 10 at $1,549,690, Tamamushi University Magikarp (Japanese) PSA 10 at $1,056,000, Mudkip ☆ PSA 10 at $1,046,250. They are counted as sold.

One sale, one price. A sale reported by several sources is counted once, matched by its listing (eBay item, Fanatics or Goldin lot, Alt item), or by card, grade and price within 3 days for a PSA record with no listing link.

Every price is what the buyer paid. Alt, Fanatics and PSA’s records already include the buyer’s premium, except Fanatics’ Oct 12, 2026 Weekly Auction, which the data holds at hammer and which has Fanatics’ 20% premium added (every earlier week’s paid price is exactly hammer × 1.2).

Goldin’s hammer prices have its premium added: 22% on most auctions, and the 24% Goldin set for its February Pokémon auction, which sold the Illustrator. PSA’s records of Goldin sales match hammer × 1.22. Grades are as sold: a CGC Pristine 10 and a Beckett Black Label are listed as such, and a reverse holo or 1st Edition is a separate card from its base print.

Left out. Lots of several cards. eBay listings that took an offer without saying for how much, and Fanatics buy-now listings with no known outcome: in both cases the figure is the asking price, not what anyone paid.

A fixed-price or offer sale at over 10 times the highest price the same card and grade had reached at auction earlier in 2026, which means a wrong listing or an unconfirmed offer.

A record whose PSA cert sold elsewhere in 2026 for under a 50th of the price. Auctions are never left out on price. 69 records of $100,000 or more were set aside on these rules:
